Equine Art

Maybe it stems from my childhood obsession with all things horses but I am currently in love with equine art in homes.  Roberto Dutesco is a local (NYC) photographer that currently has a gallery showing his Horses of Sable Island.  My dream is to own a print but until then, I can drool over these...

A quick search of Etsy.com brings up these beautiful photographs and at a much better price point.

A few of my recent purchases...

I have been on a makeup buying kick recently.  Does it seem that everything seems to run out and need replacing at the same time?  I frequent sephora.com when I have over $50 in items to buy due to their free shipping and free return policy.

I just bought this Chanel Enigma quad eyeshadow because of a recommendation from temptalia.com  If you haven't checked out her blog yet, you must!  She has tutorials, reviews, how to's and so much more.

I love this primer from MAC.  It goes on smoothly and keeps away shininess all day.  Plus it has SPF 50.

I must say that this lives up to all the hype.  I look like I've slept 10 hours every day of my life after applying this to my undereye area.

This is a great cheek stain that stays on all day versus most powder blushes that slide off after 2 hours.

I like this finishing powder to set my foundation.

Yikes! It looks like I've bought a lot but I promise I don't splurge that often on makeup!  I like to use ebates.com to save a couple more percentage points on most online purchases.

Things I'm Loving...

My husband and I just moved into a new place and I am having so much fun decorating the new abode.  We are reusing a lot of things from past apartments but also investing in a few new pieces.  My style leans towards mid century modern and I am loving the following and hoping to incorporate these pieces somehow into my grand plan.

A great Eames molded rocker is perfect in a bedroom corner to cozy up and read a book.  I recently bought an amazing reproduction from hautelook.com {image from dwr.com}

Loving this Jake chair from roomandboard.com.  Would go perfect with our new docksta table from Ikea. {image from roomandboard.com}

My husband bought me this Mark Rothko print for our 1st anniversary from the momastore.org.  I love Rothko's work.

Nothing beats an authentic mid century credenza but this Crate and Barrel option is sleek and I love the stainless legs. {image from crateandbarrel.com}

Love, love, love this chair but waaaaay out of my price point.  Another beauty from dwr.com.  Still looking for a good alternative...  {image from dwr.com}

Welcome!

I am so excited to be starting this blog! I have been dreaming of doing this for so long and finally got the nerve to.  I intend for this blog to be a mixture of all things I love including fashion, beauty and decorating.  I hope you enjoy.
