Before and After

Living in a rental makes it difficult to decorate for obvious reasons, ugly light fixtures, drab paint choices, outdated kitchens...you get my drift.  Our new place has these awful vertical blinds that have years of dirt and grim on them.  I can't replace them so I decided to hide them with drapes.  In an ideal world, my house would have wide open beautiful windows but until then this will have to do.  The window in the dining room is not centered so I hung the drapes wall to wall to give the illusion of a centered window.

This was just days after we moved in.  We were using an ottoman as chairs for the new Ikea table.


After

Always a work in progress but definitely an improvement!
