Before and After

If you've been reading along, you know that I have been on the hunt for a bar cart to fit into an empty corner of the kitchen.  I wanted something multipurpose so when I came upon this one from Ikea, it was perfect.  The bottom is great for stashing bottles and glassware.  There is a drawer for storing cocktail napkins and the best part is the removable cutting board on top.  All this for under 200 bucks!

Before:

Pretty bland corner..

After:

Thinking of maybe painting an area above the cart with chalkboard paint.  Anyone know if that's easily repaintable since we live an in apartment?

  5. P.S. I also know little about computers. My header is a collage created in picnic (sp?) and then imported as a photo in lieu of blog title. It gives you the option. Took some time, I won't lie - but it isn't too difficult.

  6. This bar cart is so cute! I love the metal/wood combination. As for the chalkboard paint - I would recommend getting a piece of plywood and painting it with chalkboard paint. You could also frame it and have it portable! Can't wait to see what you end up deciding!

  20. I have a bar/serving ware question. What do you think you should use for champagne when you don't own flutes? I ended up using wine glasses even though I had some other prettier choices.

    What would you do Amy?

    Thanks, Annie
